Flora's first day at school (1)
Next week Farabi comes to visit Flora in her house. They are having a chat.
"Can you remember your first day at school, Flora?" Farabi asks.
"Oh, yes, I can," Flora says. "I can recall exactly what happened. Would you like to hear it?"
"I'd love to," says Farabi. "Please tell me."
"Okay," says Flora. "It was 2006. I was then 6 years old. One day my mother said, "Flora, you're going to start your school tomorrow."
I was very excited. I couldn't think of anything else. I was always thinking about the school, the teachers and the students of our school. I couldn't even sleep well that night.
The next morning my mother woke me up early in the morning. I had a bath and put on my best clothes. Then I had breakfast and started for the school with my mother.
The school was not very far from our home. So we walked all the way.

ফারাবি জিজ্ঞেস করে, "ফ্লোরা, বিদ্যালয়ে তোমার প্রথম দিনের কথা স্মৃতিচারণ করতে পারবে কি?" ফ্লোরা বলে।

পরের দিন সকালে খুব ভোরে আমার মা আমাকে ঘুম থেকে জাগিয়ে দিল। আমি গোসল করলাম এবং সবচেয়ে ভালো জামাকাপড় পড়লাম। অতঃপর প্রাতঃরাশ করলাম এবং মায়ের সাথে বিদ্যালয়ের উদ্দেশ্যে যাত্রা শুরু করলাম।
আমাদের বাসা থেকে বিদ্যালয় খুব বেশি দূরে ছিল না। তাই আমরা সারা পথ হাঁটলাম।

My first day at School
A new place is a new experience. So my first day at school is a new experience in my life. I will remember the day as long as I live.
It was 2007. I was then 6 years old. One day my father said to me, "You are going to start your school life tomorrow."
Hearing my father's speech I was very excited and stimulated. I could not think of anything else. I was always thinking about the school, the teachers and the students of our school. I couldn't even sleep well that night, because of excitement and exuberance.
The next morning my father woke me up early in the morning. I brushed my teeth and had a bath. I put on my best clothes. Then I had breakfast.
I started for the school with my father. The school was a little bit far from our home. So we hired a rickshaw to go to school. It took us about twenty minutes to reach the school. I could know the name of our school. It is Harinarayanpur Govt. Primary School. I saw many students on the school campus. Some were playing and some were talking to each other. I didn't know anyone. So I was a little scared.
My father soon took me to the head teacher. He asked me a few questions and I answered them intelligently.
The head teacher was very pleased and praised me highly. He called a teacher. Her name was Ms Rubina. He introduced me to her and requested her to take me to the class.
Ms. Rubina took me to the class. The class teacher welcomed me and gave me a seat. All the students in the class were staring at me. I felt a bit nervous to see all the new faces. But soon I became easy. I could make friendship with three or four students. Then I could pass my class hour very joyfully.
In fact, my first day at school was full of excitement, pleasure and novelty.
বিদ্যালয়ে আমার প্রথম দিন
নতুন স্থান এক নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা। তাই বিদ্যালয়ে আমার প্রথম দিন আমার জীবনে এক নতুন অভিজ্ঞতা। যতদিন বেঁচে থাকি ততদিন দিনটি মনে রাখব।
তখন ছিল ২০০৭ সাল। সে সময় আমার বয়স ৬ বছর ছিল। একদিন আমার বাবা বলল, "তুমি আগামী দিন তোমার বিদ্যালয় জীবন শুরু করতে যাচ্ছ।"
বাবার কথা শুনে খুব পুলকিত ও রোমাণিত হলাম। আমি আর কোন কিছু সম্পর্কে ভাবতে পারলাম না। আমি তখন সর্বদা বিদ্যালয় সম্পর্কে, আমাদের বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকা ও ছাত্রছাত্রী সম্পর্কে ভাবতে লাগলাম। উত্তেজনা আর উল্লাসের কারণে আমি সে রাতে ভালোভাবে ঘুমাতে পারিনি।
পরের দিন সকালে বাবা খুব ভোরে আমাকে ঘুম থেকে জাগিয়ে। দিলেন। আমি দাঁত মাজলাম এবং গোসল করলাম। সবচেয়ে ভালো জামাকাপড় পরলাম। অত:পর প্রাতঃরাশ করলাম।
বাবার সাথে বিদ্যালয়ের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা করলাম। আমাদের বাসা থেকে বিদ্যালয় একটু দূরে ছিল। তাই বিদ্যালয় যাওয়ার জন্য আমরা একটি রিক্সা ভাড়া করলাম। বিদ্যালয় পৌঁছতে আমাদের প্রায় বিশ মিনিট লেগেছিল। আমাদের বিদ্যালয়ের নাম জানতে পারলাম। এটি হলো হরিনারায়ণপুর সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়। বিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গনে অনেক ছাত্রছাত্রী দেখতে পেলাম। কেউ কেউ খেলাধুলা করছিল আর কেউ একে অন্যের সাথে কথা বলছিল। আমি কাউকে চিনতে পারলাম না। তাই একটু ভয় পেয়ে গেলাম।
বাবা শীঘ্রই আমাকে প্রধান শিক্ষকের কাছে নিয়ে গেল। তিনি আমাকে কিছু প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞেস করলেন আর আমি এগুলোর উত্তর বুদ্ধিমত্তার সাথে দিলাম।
প্রধান শিক্ষক খুব খুশি হলেন এবং আমার ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করলেন। তিনি একজন শিক্ষিকাকে ডাকলেন। তার নাম হলো জনাবা বুবিনা। তিনি আমাকে তার সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিলেন এবং আমাকে শ্রেণিকক্ষে নিয়ে যেতে তাকে অনুরোধ করলেন।
জনাবা রুবিনা আমাকে শ্রেণিকক্ষে নিয়ে গেলেন। শ্রেণিশিক্ষক আমাকে স্বাগত জানালেন এবং একটি আসন দিলেন। শ্রেণির সব ছাত্রছাত্রী আমার দিকে অপলক দৃষ্টিতে তাকিয়ে রইল। সব নতুন মুখ দেখে আমি খানিকটা ভীতসন্ত্রস্ত অনুভব করলাম। তবে শীঘ্রই আমি স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যবোধ করলাম। তিন কিংবা চারজন ছাত্রছাত্রীর সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করতে পারলাম। অতঃপর আমি খুব আনন্দদায়কভাবে শ্রেণি সময় অতিবাহিত করতে পারলাম।
বস্তুত, বিদ্যালয়ে আমার প্রথম দিন উত্তেজনা, আনন্দ আর নতুনত্বে ভরপুর ছিল।

সাধারণত present indicating Future tense-এ Going to ব্যবহৃত হয়। ইতোমধ্যে বা সাধারণভাবে পরিকল্পিত কোনো ঘটনা ঘটতে যাওয়া
